CHAPTER 22 OF THE MANGA
( Part 3 of the Disappearing Detransition Story Arc )

When Karii Maki wanted to go bowling with her other two female friends, Chiyoko had to adjust Karii's Maho Shoujo power back to normal teenage girl, lest she shatter the bowling pins. However, something is now amiss ! At home in her bedroom, but with the parents gone, Karii can't change back to male mode. With time running out, she has to leave home before the parents see her. But now Karii seems to be a homeless teen. Where will she spend the night ? And who was that other teenage 'girl' that was wearing frilly little girl clothes ?
Chapter Overview[]
Karin hears of Karii Maki's predicament of not being able to access her detransition app. Rather then see Karii as a homeless girl, Karin invites Karii to join her for a one night sleepover. Karii has to pull a ruse so as not to tip off her parents, but nevertheless, Karii gets to stay with Karin. When it comes time for evening baths, Karii gets to go first. Karin lays out a set of pajamas for her to wear for tonight. Karii thinks that by being her 'usual male' self, that this is somehow able to help the troublesome situation of the disappearing detransition. She finds out that perceived male traits and correct gendered female traits don't really mix.
This Chapter's Story[]
Karii Maki is greeted at Karin's home by Karin's mom. Mom wants to know if Karii has told her parents that she is staying the night ? Karii fudges an answer to mom, then whispers to Karin that she only sent a text message to her parents telling them that their offspring is at Naoya's house. Later in Karin's bedroom, Karii thanks her for the evening meal, though it was mom who actually cooked the dinner. Karin wants to know if Karii really can't turn back ? Karii tries right then and there, with nothing happening. Karin thinks to herself that she is now seeing the utter depth of Karii's grievous situation. She tries to be encouraging, telling Karii that Chiyoko is working on it as we speak.
Karin tries to think of other ways to be helpful, as a text message comes across on Karii's phone. The text is from Naoya. It says that Minami's mom called to confirm the stay over, and Naoya covered for you by saying that Minami is at his house. You owe me big time !!! Karii jokes that Naoya is actually a 'good guy', and maybe she will someday be Naoya's wife. However, the joke when over with Karin like a lead balloon, as Karin is actually in love with Minami/Karii Makii. Except Karii is too dense to notice.
Mom knocks on the bedroom door, telling the two girls that the bath water is ready, and to take turns. Karin tells Karii that Karii can go first. But Karii does not have a change of clothes !?! She asks Karin, who says that borrowing a pair of pajamas are fine, but borrowing a pair of her panties is definitely out of the question (Karin's panties are probably too small anyway!). Karin hands over a shopping bag. Lo and behold, inside are a fresh, new pair of panties. Quick thinking on Karin's part ! She backs that up by showing Karii the receipt, telling Karii to make good on it.
In the shower, Karii does some serious thinking. She comes to the understanding that Karin has actually been helping her with every little thing recently. And what the hell is she doing to repay that ? Well, for starters, Karii needs to act like her usual self, and not freak out over this current situation. Stepping out of the shower enclosure, she tells herself that she is now cool, calm, and collected. Karii now notices that Karin has placed a cute pajama set on the counter. Karii dresses herself, vowing to buy a set of cute pajamas for herself, rather then sleeping as a girl in guy clothes. Back in the bedroom, Karii says that baths are the best. Then trying to fake being like a typical guy, she says that she likes seeing a beautiful girl naked, namely herself ! This also goes over Karin like a lead balloon. This time Karii picks up on the fact that Karin was not impressed by the comment. Not at all ! Karii thinks to herself that this is her usual self (guy self), but she, herself, is also not impressed. Not at all !
Chapter Lookback and Commentary[]
As Karii Maki recalls how her perceived male self acts and presents themselves, she is somewhat aghast and embarrassed at the crassness and sheer moronic attitudes that perceived male displays !

This manga is [a less than desirable] version of "Kampfer" and "Twintail" :v

Kampfer... yuri...? Twintail... weird twintail lover? Well it's kinda similar to Twintail because there's a time [when the] M[ain] C[haracter] can't turn back to a boy and instead of transform[ing] into the usual [TailRed.].. He turns into a real girl [named Solar] instead...

The "fighting villains" part in this manga doesn't feel as cringey and forced as in Twintail though. While it's [Majitora] not as good as Kampfer, it's much better than Twintail in my opinion.
