YUI FURUMI
At the start of the new school year in the fall, Yui Furumi was accepted into the Maho Shoujo Club as a new member. However, it was soon revealed that she did not want to become an actual maho shoujo girl, but only wanted to be a fan of the other members of the club who are actual maho shoujo girls. She explained her status this way---Some people want to play sports as part of a team, and some people merely wish to be fans of and admire the ones who play. Yui is the latter, one who only wants to admire the maho shoujo girls. Nevertheless, Yui first suggested, and was granted the position of Manager of the Club. She now fulfills that role and the duties therein as part of the club.
Yui has no friends, as she comes from an extremely wealthy family, who protected and isolated her from any social contact with teenagers her own age. Therefore, she seeks and offers friendship first with Pretty Saku-Nyan (Karin Saki). Karin reciprocates, and the two become Shoujo Ai friends. After first objecting to their appearance in the club, Yui has recanted, and now has a slight romantic interest in male Minami, and their female gender expressions, Maho Curry and Karii Maki. Yui comes from a very wealthy family, and has a personal maid and guardian, named Ren, that follows her around to watch over her and keep her out of trouble.
Beginning at Chapter 51, the story reveals that Yui may be a bisexual teenager. She seems to have a romantic interest in 'male' Minami Maki, and is okay with them transforming back and forth between masquerading as a male, and presenting as an authentic female. She even goes on a supposedly 'fake' date with 'male' Mianmi, enjoying herself immensely. However, she also expresses romantic feelings for female Kaitani Zakurow, and invites her over to her luxury home, where the two share a bath together, and have a nighttime sleepover in Yui's spacious bedroom. Yui may or may not know that Kaitani is actually a cross-dressed boy in her class, namely Akira Asaba, yet Akira has figured out a way to transform themselves into an anatomically correct girl.
In Chapter 57, Yui is kidnapped by a rival maho shoujo girl from another club that is affiliated with another high school. She has to be rescued by Minami Maki as Maho Curry and Akira Asaba as Dark Lord Kaiserk. However, those two find out that each has an alter ego, and soon promise to keep each other's secret identity as a sacred trust.
